WELCOME TO TRASH?! SCHOOL – WHERE LEARNING MEETS PLAY

Some people teach in classrooms. I prefer playgrounds as a learning environment. Not the kind with slides and swings (though, honestly, why not?). I’m talking about sustainable playgrounds — spaces where people of all ages, skill levels, and backgrounds come together to create, experiment, and play with discarded materials, transforming waste into wearable, usable, and downright magical creations.

HOW DID WE GET HERE? LET ME TELL YOU A STORY.

I’ve spent my life proving that transformation is possible. I rebuilt myself from the ground up—through creativity, through play, through reinvention. As a journalist, artist, international model, and social entrepreneur, my work has always been about pushing boundaries and asking, What if?

What if we stopped looking at trash as trash?

What if we saw the materials we throw away as potential?

What if sustainability wasn’t just a lecture in a classroom but a hands-on experience, a living, breathing playground where everyone—kids, adults, artists, misfits, makers—could explore, fail, and create without limits?

That’s exactly what TRASH?! School is. It’s not a school in the traditional sense because traditional education is too rigid. Too closed. Too much about memorizing instead of doing. Here, we don’t teach sustainability. We practice it. We don’t teach creativity. We unleash it.

Here, you’ll be guided through open-ended and structured experiments in upcycling, from deconstructing old garments to turning shattered porcelain into statement accessories.

This is not a workshop. This is not a lecture. This is an immersive experience at the intersection of creativity, sustainability, and empowerment. We just happen to do it all on a fashion playground!
